DEPARTMENT COMMANDER
Timothy S. Van Patten
Commander Van Patten enlisted in the
US Navy Reserves in 1966. He served two tours of duty from 1968-1969 during
refueling operations in the Tonkin Gulf. He was discharged from active
service on October 10, 1969. Tim was honorably discharged from the Navy on
December 12, 1972. He is a 40 year member of
Alfred J. Jurek Post 1672, East Amherst. Tim has recently retired from the
Williamsville Central School District after 30 years of service maintaining
athletic fields for thirteen schools. He has been married to his wife
Elaine for 39 years. They have two sons, Tim II and Brian. One daughter
Erin. Three grand children Samantha, Elizabeth and Russell.
